Had to be done. Because Nocturne is awesome, and I have watched the Frightmare episode way too many times.
I love his character design. :P

But he's a real pain when looking at reference. His appearance changes throughout the episode. His little goatee thing starts off as purple, and like halfway through switches to black. I used the purple so that it would contrast better from the starry sky. And the pointy shadow things on his arms change direction. @_@

I also wanted a DP background (there's a bigger version if you hit download). I would have preferred someone else's art though. I don't like looking at my own crap that much...

I love the effects. :D Nocturne looks so scary with his head tilted like that... D:

Yeah, I really liked Nocturne before they completely ruined him by putting him in Season 3. )< Seriously, all of the villains in S3 wanted to take over the world for NO PARTICULARLY MOTIVATING REASON.

I loved the beginning of that episode. Not for the "cute" little dream sequence, but for the fact that the moment Danny woke up, he looked mortified, and described the sequence as a "nightmare". That basically completely made my day. ♥

yes frightmare rocked i was just disapointed we never got to see into vlads dreams...possibly the only epsode in season 3 that i liked

I spent a long time trying to make him look frightening and not just like some cross dresser after I put the purple lipstick on. XD

Nocturne was one of the few good things about season 3. I also liked Vortex though. I just didn't care for the fact that season 3 villains were more like Greek gods or something with their power over elements than they were actual ghosts.

:lmao: I know!! XDDD It's funny how Danny's like, "Now how did I make myself wake up? Oh yeah, I almost kissed Sam. So, I just have to shock everybody else awake like that." And then he proceeds in giving everyone nightmares. :XD: Haha, what kind of message is that to D/S shippers?

I thought for sure that when the episode took the time to actually go to Vlad's house that we were going to see into his dream. But I guess that since Danny didn't really have a reason to wake his arch-nemesis up, he didn't. Such a shame though.
And season 3 was just a total letdown in a lot of ways. There were a couple of other good ones like Eye for an Eye, but for the most part, I think the season is full of mostly fillers. :no:

sssssssssmoken! Was my first thought looking at this. hehe, that looks really good. Especially the tips of his tail which are on fire.

But the shading on his face man.. that just blew me away. It looks almost realistic. His.. nose! is so beautiful.
..I now have a kink in my neck from staring at his face from that angle. >_o

Ah, Nocturne, one of my fav characters. I love his voice it's so awesome and of course it's cool when he says "says the ghost boy who dreams of the goth girl" Keep up the great work. :)
